‘Live In Our Shoes For A Week’- Lelaki Ini Minta Menteri Rasa Sendiri Cabaran Hidup Sebagai Rakyat Biasa

‘I used to wake up by 5.45 am..’

When I was driving to work, I used to wake up by 5.45 am. I left home by 6.30 am to beat the morning rush. I used to spend RM80 for petrol and RM35 for toll per week. Not inclusive of parking fees.

When the petrol subsidies was taken away, I was told to change my lifestyle and I did just that.

Sekarang muka bersiap pukul 4.40 pagi..

Now, my morning routine starts at 4.40 am. Took the first train to KL Sentral by 5.47 am. Arrived at KL Sentral an hour later. Took the LRT to Bangsar. Switched to the T634 RapidKL Bus to Jalan Dungun and arrived at my office by 7.40 am, latest.

Basically, it took me almost 2 hours to cover 35 kilometers. 4 hours back and forth. However, this post is not to rant on that. It still beats driving through the morning jam. Plus, I can read. I can sleep. I can game. I can troll.

‘Cuba hidup macam kami selama seminggu..’

But, Mr Minister, don’t talk as if we’re not coping enough with the recent price hikes on tolls and public transportation fees. Get off your pedestal and live in our shoes for a week. Then, you have the choice of either making an educated opinion or continue as you are.
